Alert codes help you remember medical conditions or allergies relating to the patient. These pop up throughout the program when patient records are accessed.
Quick Steps

Open the Setup option on the toolbar.

Locate the Additional Setup section and click Set up alert codes.
|

In the Alert Entry screen, enter a code (five digits or letters) or skip the Code field and let the program create one for you.

5.

Enter an easily-identifiable name for the alert in the Name field. You can use up to 30 letters and/or digits.

6.
|
Enter a concise description of the alert.
|
7.
|
Click Save Changes or press F3.

Customizing
The columns displayed in the Alert list screen are customizable. See Customizing a Screen.
In addition, the filters can also be changed -- added to, removed, etc. See Customizing Filters.
